Know a spirited someone who deserves a special treat this winter? How about a classic French liqueur, in a fancy holiday package?
Grand Marnier has recently released its limited-edition Cordon Rouge bottle.
It's a nod to 1880, the year that one Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle created the legendary sweet orange liqueur.
A blend of three to 10-year-old Cognacs, bitter orange and sugar, it's amber in colour, with notes of sweet orange and caramel.
Lovely after dinner by the fire, or as a key ingredient in cocktails.
If you haven't tried it, or haven't tasted it for years, it may be time to revisit this timeless drink. About $40.
