If you've been to Native Tongues Taqueria in Calgary, you've probably seen bartender Dylan Macleod in action. He's behind the bar, stirring up good things for us to drink. Here, his take on a Mexican classic, just in time for patio season.
"This version of a Paloma takes mezcal and reposado tequila and marries it with lime, grapefruit and the classic Mexican grapefruit soda, Squirt. Drink this on any patio you come across," say Macleod and his team.
1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Reposado tequila
.5 oz Lime juice
2 oz Grapefruit juice
Squirt soda to top
Rim a collins glass with kosher salt. Pour in all ingredients, except the Squirt. Add ice and top with Squirt. Garnish with a lime wheel.
